All the other friends are at the beach, but they needed to clean the windows. Noone wanted to do it, and then they did "stone-scissors-paper", and the porcupine lost and had to sacrifice himself. "Never more say scissor" he repeated again and again.
And maybee he shouldn't say the same, "scissor" , EVERY time...

nice interpretation! nice story, tho poor boy :-)
i agree with you about being self while being a mother (although i'm not a mother myself). in any role in life, we should be ourselves first.
thanks for stepping by!
Definitely a unique take on the topic. I feel sorry for the little guy. Thanks for the comment on my blog.
Awh, life isn't fair... A very beautiful picture and story, that yellow colours is very radiant.
Wonderful piece! Poor little cinderella hedgehog!
Thank you for your comments on my illo. I whole heartedly agree!
That totally sucks for that little guy. So cute and great take on this theme! It was nice to see a piece that wasnt so serious for a second. This was an almost stresful theme this week!
Why does the scissorpaper get the bad rap? Paper wraps rock, after all. Cute pic, btw.
poor hedgehog, he really gets the rough end of the stick doesn't he.
Thankyou for your kind words – yes, I think, this porcupine “gets the rough end of the stick”, as you, beck, writes.
To tony: the porcupine said “scissorpaper”. One of the friends said “stone” – and “stone wins over SCISSORpaper”. Next friend: “scissor – can cut scissorPAPER” – and at last “paper – no-one wins, we have scissorPAPER and paper”. And maybee he shouldn't say "scissorpaper" the same, EVERY time...
Poor old hedgehog. He looks so sad. Hopefully someone bought him back an icecream from the beach!
wow. Not just an illustration, a whole dang story.
It's cute.

uhmm u must play it a lil diff nvr heard of scissor paper being together. but anyways poor lil guy. cute illo
To michael dailey
you said you had never heard of scissorpaper, neither have I - but the porcupine does things a little different, you see, and often it's not so good...
always enjoy reading the stories that go with the illustrations. it reminds me of when my kids were little and we would draw illustrations; adding to each others and then make up stories as we went along
That's so cute and so funny! I love the explanation...oh well..he lost fair and square, right? Wonderful illo:>
:)) poor guy!

Lovely illustration!
what a creative and unique response to this week's topic!
What medium did you use for this. collage?
I really like it a lot.
Thankyou for all your kind words -
to Jaimie:
Yes, in a way it's like a collage, but it's digital with layers via the program Paint Shop Pro.
I use parts of the picture as a sky, grass, water, leaves etc from my own photos. I use the mouse to draw fx as here the porcupine and the window. When in layers it's easy to move the parts around, untill it's ok.
Hi to all!
At the same time as I changed the image, I've changed "scissorpaper" to "scissor" - the first was unnessary for the story.
